In Scotland, the Final Report of a restorative justice joint action project between Victim Support Scotland and Sacro (Safeguarding Communities Reducing Offending) was submitted to the Scottish Government on 25 November. The report proposes a balanced approach to restorative practices; the victim is at the centre of a voluntary process in balance with the offender being at the centre of the criminal justice system. The report was compiled by Pam Leslie of Victim Support Scotland with the assistance of a practice advisory committee. The practice advisory committee consisted of representatives from a range of voluntary and statutory agencies and academia and was chaired by Niall Kearney.
