Tim Newell is the Governor of Grendon Prison in England and has been involved in Restorative Justice work for a number of years. He is a member of the Management Group for the ICPS Restorative Prisons project. The governors of the English prisons involved in this project visited the Belgian Prison Service in March 2001 to learn more about its work in restorative justice. Tim wrote the following paper after the visit.
