This important book presents the case for restorative justice in both its theoretical and practical dimensions. Part One explores the root concepts underlying restorative justice and reviews relevant literature. Conceptual impediments to restorative justice are also presented. Part Two discusses adopting the components of a restorative justice approach. The authors suggest specific programmatic or policy options for moving the criminal justice toward restorative practices. The book is intended as both a statement of restorative justice theory and a reference guide for implementation.
